Language courses

Who for?

The University co-finances additional foreign language lessons for those who wish to improve their language skills and make up for differences with the current material processed during their studies. Classes are conducted individually, 2 times a week for 90 minutes each (two lessons), a total of 60 hours per semester. In exceptional cases, you can conclude for 30 hours in semester. Registration for additional classes is during period 16.02.2024 at 12.00 a.m. to 22.02.2024 at 12 p.m.

The following rules:

  • In the first place we admit the students who due to their health dysfunction, have a significantly impeded ability to learn a foreign language (hearing, visually impaired) and continue the course according to the individual course program.
  • Secondly, places will be allocated to students going to study or planning the internships abroad.
  • The remaining students with disability certificates will be admitted in third order, depending on the vacancies.

Additional (extra-curricular) foreign language classes are being offered to those students and doctoral students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology with a special needs, who due to serious health impairments require specialist language teaching methodology, often supported by appropriate assistive technologies. This applies in particular to blind and visually impaired persons as well as persons with and hearing impairments.

The main objectives of additional foreign language classes are to:

  1.  Prepare the student to pass the foreign language exam at the level required by the study program.
  2.  Improve knowledge of a foreign language necessary to work in a profession or to study abroad (only for students who have already passed the compulsory foreign language course).

There are the following foreign languages offered by the Department of Foreign Languages:

  • English,
  • German,
  • Spanish,
  • French,
  • Russian,
  • Polish.
